They were doing a book sale in the SUB (fifty cents to a dollar), and I picked up a copy of Book 1 of Spenser's "Faerie Queene." It's got an 80 page intro that is evidently quite good. Any interest? I'm not sure how Susanna Clarke got away with her 1,000 page first novel! It has been longtimes since we've seen each other.
