Also, I am considering calling my local Kingdom Hall of Jehova’s Witnesses. Every Sunday, between 10:30 and 11 in the morning, they send someone around to witness to us. I guess since we go to church on Saturday nights, we do look a bit like heathens sleeping in that late (Mr. Burt, anyway) on Sundays. Still — there is no reason why anyone should ever ring a doorbell that early, nor should they do it twice in the space of thirty seconds! I’m afraid, though, if I ask them to stop coming around, that’ll only make thim kick up their efforts to reach us, and I’ll be forced to tell them that the Kingdom of Heaven is not here on earth, and if it were, God would let me celebrate Christmas and the 4th of July and all those fun holidays.
